From Community Vote to Action: CoinDepo Makes Its First $10,000 Donation to Action Against Hunger
Following the decision of the CoinDepo community, our collaboration with Action Against Hunger is now moving from commitment to action.
After CoinDepo token holders voted to support the partnership, we formalized the collaboration with Action Against Hunger and have now made our first donation of $10,000.

The contribution will support the organization’s humanitarian work in Kenya, where rising food insecurity, malnutrition, climate shocks, and limited access to essential services continue to affect millions of people.
🇰🇪 Why This Support Matters
In 2025, Action Against Hunger’s 53 team members in Kenya assisted 488,545 people across five counties, providing support ranging from nutrition and safe water to livelihoods, climate-resilient agriculture, emergency shelter, and mental health services.
The need for this work continues to grow. During 2025, the number of people facing acute food insecurity in Kenya increased from 2.1 million in February to an estimated 3.3 million by the end of the year.
More than 810,000 children under five and nearly 117,000 pregnant and lactating women required urgent treatment for acute malnutrition.
💙 Turning Support Into Measurable Impact
During 2025, Action Against Hunger in Kenya:
- screened more than 75,000 children for acute malnutrition;
- admitted more than 13,000 children for lifesaving treatment;
- provided more than 70,000 children with vitamin A supplements;
- improved access to safe water for more than 114,500 people through climate-resilient water infrastructure;
- expanded health and nutrition outreach to hard-to-reach communities;
- supported livelihoods, climate-smart agriculture, financial inclusion, emergency shelter, and mental health and psychosocial services.
Together, these programs help children recover from malnutrition, give families better access to safe water and essential services, and strengthen communities’ ability to withstand droughts, floods, and rising food prices.
🗳️ A Community Decision Put Into Action
This collaboration is particularly meaningful because it began with a CoinDepo Governance vote.
Our community was asked whether Action Against Hunger should become part of the CoinDepo Charity Program. The decision was clear: users supported the collaboration.
We then signed the agreement — and today, that vote has resulted in the first $10,000 donation.
For CoinDepo, governance is not simply about expressing an opinion. It is about giving the community a voice in real decisions and then turning those decisions into action.

CoinDepo will continue supporting the organization through its Charity Pool, helping contribute to programs that address malnutrition, access to safe water, livelihoods, and community resilience in Kenya.
