How Support Changes Life
News

At CoinDepo, we believe it is always important to understand how support works — and how it can truly change people’s lives.
One example comes from Agnes in Rwanda, whose story was recently shared with us by GiveDirectly.
Agnes had started a sewing course but had to stop after getting married because she could no longer afford to continue. Her family worked as subsistence farmers and also labored on other people’s farms for around $2 a day, which was only enough to cover basic needs.
After receiving cash support, things began to change. Agnes was able to return to training, improve her sewing skills, and buy a sewing machine. She and her family also invested in better seeds, fertilizer, and rented farmland. Today, she works as a tailor, earns more than before, saves more each week, and can more easily provide meals for her children. Her story is a powerful reminder that support is not just about short-term relief. It can create income, stability, dignity, and long-term opportunity.
This is why we continue this mission at CoinDepo. In our latest round of giving, we have donated $10,000 to GiveDirectly, $10,000 to World Child Cancer, and $1,000 to Damark.
And what makes these numbers meaningful is understanding what they can represent in practice.
Through GiveDirectly in Rwanda, $10,000 can mean support on a scale such as 290 goats, 770 semesters of secondary school fees, 17 new houses, 180 mattresses, 95 bicycles, or 2,500 kg of fertilizer.
Through World Child Cancer, $10,000 can help fund 2,487 blood tests for children with cancer in Malawi, provide one month of accommodation for 134 children near hospital care, support meals for 56 children and their families in Cameroon, or cover the cost of four Paediatric Intensive Care Unit beds in Nepal — depending on where the need is greatest.
For us, this is what being part of the CoinDepo ecosystem should mean: not only growth and earning, but also the ability to create real-world impact.
And perhaps most importantly, every amount matters. Even $1 can still help someone. ✨
